Every summer season turns out to be a girl’s worst enemy. Heat, humidity is not very easy going with makeup. It happens to be a very common problem. Makeup in this summer season turns smudgy, it gets all messed up and by the end of the day, and we feel as if makeup weighs down the look instead of enhancing it. With this, the person wearing makeup feels diffident.
Summer melts the makeup as well as our confidence. one can wear makeup in a smarter way which will help it last longer, better and make you look bright and shiny. with these makeup tips you can feel good about yourself despite the sultry humid climate.
Of course, I love wearing makeup—but my oily skin makes its own makeup remover all day long, and it works overtime in hot weather.
As much as we all love summer, we don’t love when our makeup melts. You don’t want the time spent putting on your makeup to go to waste, and you definitely don’t want to get confused between a dewy look and that I-just-got-done-at-the-gym look.
As someone with oily skin, my summer makeup routine for oily skin consists of oil-free and mattifying products to prevent maximum shine.
Here are my 9 ways I like to keep my makeup looking fresh all summer.
Primer is key to long-lasting makeup. Apply primer on moisturised skin before your foundation and concealer.
With the summer heat, applying full coverage foundation is the last thing you want to do. I mean, you wouldn’t wear a heavy sweater during the summer heat, would you?
Let your skin breathe and opt for lightweight BB creams, CC creams, or tinted moisturizers. The less you put on, the less there is to slide off in the heat. Apply your base with a dampened beauty sponge for a light and sheer coverage.
Less coverage means more transparency, and that can be an issue if you have problem areas, like acne, or dark spots. Apply concealer wherever it’s needed to hide those blemishes or acne marks on your face.
Matt based makeup is a better choice. Using shimmery, glossy makeup has lot of moisture which the skin usually needs in winter. Matt gives a finishing, not making it look excessively bright and heavy. You are sure to look classy and sassy with the matt look. It adds grace to the skin despite the humidity.
Tanning is never a girl’s best friend. The sun is bound to touch your body in this scorching heat. Before makeup, a base of sunscreen helps minimise darkness and dullness. But to remember, it is best to pat dry in small quantities. Also, avoid thick, creamy sunscreens.
It is also recommended to use SPF formula makeup materials so as to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. It’s best to use them and keep your skin safe.
I love a good dewy finish in the summertime, but you don’t want to look sweaty. Set your makeup with a loose translucent powder to keep your T-zone shine-free.
Setting spray is like hairspray for your face; it keeps all your makeup where it needs to be. If you want to keep your makeup from smudging, creasing, or fading in the heat, use a good setting spray.
Waterproof mascara in the summer heat is a no-brainer. You can also trade your kohl eyeliner pencil for a waterproof liquid formal that won’t smudge.
Lipstick can smudge and melt in the heat, and lipgloss can get runny and sticky. In the summertime, lip tints are my best friend. Whether you prefer tinted lip balms, lip stains, or sheer lipsticks, a hint of lip color will keep you looking natural and effortless..
Eyeliner and eyeshadow get messy fast on oily skin; part of the reason I wear so little eye makeup is because my eyelids obliterate it within a few hours.
Use a good quality kajal pencil which is waterproof and stays for long. If you like wearing Mascara always wear waterproof mascara.
If your skin is oily, some amount of shine is going to happen. That’s okay—God gave us blotting papers for precisely this reason. Keep a stash of rice paper or toilet seat covers in your purse, wallet, or pocket for mid-day shine control.

I have combination skin that gets super oily around the T-zone. Just recently, I got a very good primer than I also use as a night cream. It is just shine-free and I love it!
