Rakshabandhan is the festival that celebrates the pure love and strong bond between brother and sister. Like any other festival, this festival of Rakshabandhan is celebrated with lots and lots of love, joy, and emotions. Looking good and dressing differently is the main concern when talking about festivals.

Beauty Tips to look Fab on Raksha Bandhan
Like all festive occasions, girls love to dress up and look their best on Raksha Bandhan, but in the hot and humid season the skin loses its shine and needs toning and refreshment.
If you have time you can go to some salon and get facial, threading done before Raksha Bandhan.
Try out these simple DIYS at home to look beautiful this Raksha Bandhan.

Use Fruit mask. Fruits like banana, apple, papaya and orange can be mixed together and applied on the face. Keep it on your face for 20-30 minutes. Then wash off with water. It cools the skin, cleanses dead cells and removes tan.
Cooling mask: Mix cucumber juice with two teaspoons milk and one egg white into a smooth paste. Apply on face and neck and rinse off with water after half an hour.
Use green tea bags for your under eyes.
Mix one tablespoon Multani Mitti with rose water into a paste and apply on the face. Wash off when dry. After applying face mask, take two of the cotton wool pads soaked in rose water and use them as eye pads. This is one of the best mask for Oily skin.

Makeup Tips
Use waterproof make-up.
Avoid heavy makeup on your face.
For eye make-up stick to eye pencils during the day. Use light matte eye shadows . You can also apply waterproof eyeliner too. Then, apply only one or two coats of mascara, which helps to make the eyes look darker and brighter, but prevents the “heavily made-up” look.
Avoid very dark lipstick colours. Go for colours like pink, mauve, light browns. The colours should not be too intense. Or, use only lip gloss. Try using Matte lip shades which stays on lip for long.

Dress to Wear on This Raksha Bandhan
Indian traditional wear will e good option. Sari, Salwar Suit can be a good option too with light piece of jewelry either earpiece or neck piece. If the function is to be celebrated at night one can go for heavy jewelry.
If you want something like Indo western a silk printed skirt with shirt style plane top can be considered a combination to wear.

You’ve covered it all so beautifully. I use fruit masks and multani mitti pack often and find them quite effective. Ethnic clothes with matching jewellery and subtle makeup is what I like most.
I also like the “no-make up” make up look. The more natural, the better. The masks you used look that they give you a very good result. And those dresses are lovely too!
