Today I will review much awaited lipstick to be reviewed that is Maybelline Lip Gradation. I picked three shades in this range. They are Mauve1, Orange1, Fuchsai1.

It is available in 8 shades Red1, Red2, Pink1, Pink2, Mauve1, Coral1, Fuchsia1, Orange1. They are matte lipsticks.  Lip gradation is new concept in India. It’s like ombre look which is new in India. Recently Nyx is launched in India and they have same ombre lip lipsticks which I have also bought recently. I will do a review on it soon.

Packaging is simple and elegant. It comes in a colour stick shape where the colour of the lipstick is the shade of the stick. It is double sided where you to twist the stick from the bottom to get the product and other end is the applicator with a cap to smudge the lipstick to give ombre lips. The lipstick is travel friendly.

Lip gradation is highly pigmented. You don’t need lot of product to cover your lips. The texture is smooth and creamy and glides on lips very smoothly.  It doesn’t feel heavy or dry on lips.

The staying power of the lipstick is not that good it stayed almost 2 to 3 hours. It smudges and it does transfers after some time. It’s a proper matte lipstick.

To apply these lipsticks you have to apply the lipstick in the middle  section of lips on both upper and lower lips and then with the help of the applicator you to smudge the lipstick to give it ombre look. It didn’t show much on my lips as my lips are not that big and my lips are pigmented. It will look good on gals with little bigger lips that ombre effect will show up properly.

The lipstick is quite creamy and it settles down on the fine lines. You need to use makeup remover to remove the lipstick as it settles in fine lines.

I have three shades in this range Mauve1, Orange1, Fuchsai1.

Mauve1 is actually not mauve shade it looks more of nude brown shade which will look good on all Indian Skin tone complexion.

Orange1 is lovely bright orange shade with red undertones. I think this colour will also look good on all skin tone people.

Fuchsai1 is my favourite. It is magenta pink with purple undertone. It looks stunning and will also suit all skin tones especially fair skin tone.

Overall these lipsticks are good matte lipsticks and it can be played to give ombre lips which is also an advantage.

Recommendation

Overall Maybelline lip gradation is a beautiful matte lipstick which is affordable and is easily available. It is highly pigmented lipsticks and has lovely 8 shades to select from. I will recommend this lipstick.
